The Keeping Adults Safe in Shropshire Learning & Development Sub-Group have developed a Making Safeguarding Personal Card for use by practitioners to help them empower people and ensure their outcomes are at the heart of things through Making Safeguarding Personal and using the six safeguarding principles of adult safeguarding when working with adults who may be at risk of or experiencing abuse or neglect. The card is designed for both new and experienced practitioners to make sure they embed the principles of adult safeguarding into their everyday practice.
The cards will be provided to all attendees of Safeguarding Adults Awareness Training and other adult safeguarding training provided by Joint Training, Shropshire Council and Shropshire Partners in Care. For further information on this training; please visit: http://www.shropshire.gov.uk/joint-training/ and https://www.spic.co.uk/ .
Physical copies of the cards can be ordered through the Shropshire Safeguarding Partnership Business Unit (please contact SSPBusinessUnit@shropshire.gov.uk), or can be downloaded and printed by visiting this part of the website.
Making Safeguarding Personal is a vital part of ensuring that no decision is made about an adult without their involvement. Our many thanks to the Keeping Adults Safe in Shropshire Learning & Development Group for their invaluable assistance with the development of these cards.
